Kravica Waterfall is open year-round, but what you see and what you can do changes significantly by season.
May to early June (shoulder): Full flow, powerful cascades after spring melt, fewer crowds. Water is cold (around 14-16°C) — swimming is possible but bracing. Best for photography.
Late June to August (peak): Warmest water (18-20°C), longest days, full swimming. Also the most crowded — especially weekends 11:00-15:00. Book tours for early departures.
September to early October (shoulder): Still warm enough to swim, significantly fewer people, golden light. The best overall time to visit if you can be flexible.
Late October to April (low season): Dramatic falls after autumn rain, fog, mist, sometimes ice. Swimming not advised. Many facilities closed. Entrance fee may be reduced.
Our recommendation: late June or mid-September. Weekdays beat weekends by a wide margin in peak season.
