Meeting point

Food House Mostar, Rade Bitange 12, 88104 Mostar

Your driver is usually Goran, Muamer, Adi, Dženan, Nino, or Žika — all Mostar locals who've been with us for years. English-speaking, they know the park staff at Kravica by name and are happy to take requests for photo stops or coffee breaks along the way.

Before you go

Bring a swimsuit, towel, and water shoes for the pebbled Kravica pool. Cash (BAM or EUR) for lunch and drinks at the falls — cards rarely work on site — plus roughly 20 KM (€10) per person for the Kravica Nature Park entry ticket, also cash only. In July and August, add a hat and sunscreen — the walk down to the pool is fully exposed.

What tends to happen on this route

Fortica Sky Walk gets busiest between 11:00 and 16:00 in July and August — our 10:00 arrival usually beats the main crowd. Blagaj Tekija is quietest before noon; restaurants below the tekija fill up for lunch from 13:00 onwards. Bunski Kanali has its clearest water in May and September when the river runs lower.

Peak summer means 2 hours at Kravica is enough for a swim + quick lunch at the falls, with plenty of time left for the other four stops. In shoulder months the full-day rhythm stays the same but with fewer people at every stop — photography-focused guests tend to prefer September and early October here.

If the weather changes on your day

Fortica Sky Walk can close in high wind (safety rule, not a judgement call from us) — if that happens we extend Blagaj and add a Neretva valley viewpoint instead. Light rain doesn't affect any stop; Kravica is still dramatic in rain and Blagaj feels even more atmospheric with mist coming off the cliff.

In a serious storm we reshape the day toward indoor options in Mostar old town with shorter open-air stops, or we move you to the next dry day at no charge. We decide morning-of and email you by 07:30.

Who this tour is for

Couples, families with kids 6+, solo travelers and small groups staying in Mostar. Not a fit if you need barrier-free accessibility — the path down to the Kravica pool is steep in places.

Your base in Mostar

Herzegovina's most visited city — UNESCO Stari Most bridge, Ottoman old town, and the base for every Kravica day tour. See our Mostar travel guide for hotels, restaurants, and what to do outside the tour.

Planning your trip

  • How to Get to Kravica from Mostar — Mostar is the closest base to Kravica — 40 km south, 40 minutes by car. Here are four ways to cover that distance, ranked by cost and hassle.

FAQ

Is the entrance fee included in the tour price?

No — the Kravice Waterfalls entrance fee is paid directly at the site and is not included in your tour price. The fee is set by the local authority and changes seasonally. Your driver will advise you on the current amount before arrival.

Can you swim at Kravice Waterfalls?

Yes — swimming is the main attraction. The pool beneath the waterfall is safe and refreshing in summer. The best swimming season is June to September when water levels and temperatures are ideal. In spring the falls are more powerful but swimming areas may be restricted.

What is the best time of year to visit Kravice Waterfalls?

June to August is peak season — warm water, sunny skies, and full flow. May and September are quieter with cooler but still pleasant conditions. Winter visits are possible and the falls are dramatic, but swimming is not an option. Crowds are heaviest in July and August.

What should I bring to Kravice Waterfalls?

Swimwear and a towel if you plan to swim. Comfortable walking shoes or sandals. Sunscreen and water. Cash for the entrance fee and any food or drinks at the site. A waterproof bag or case for your phone if you plan to go near the water.

What is the difference between private and shared tours?

A private tour means the vehicle is exclusively yours — you set the pace, choose your pickup time, and can make extra stops. A shared tour has a fixed departure time and you share the vehicle with other travellers. Private is recommended for families, couples, and anyone who wants flexibility.

How do I book a tour?

Fill in the contact form with your preferred date, departure city, group size, and tour type. We will confirm availability and send a quote within a few hours.
